چکیده

We present a relation which connects the propagator in the radial (Fock-Schwinger) gauge with a gauge invariant Wilson loop. It is closely related to the well-known field strength formula and can be used to calculate the radial gauge propagator. The result is shown to diverge in four-dimensional space even for free fields, its singular nature is however naturally explained using the renormalization properties of Wilson loops with cusps and self-intersections. Using this observation we provide a consistent regularization scheme to facilitate loop calculations. Finally we compare our results with previous approaches to derive a propagator in Fock-Schwinger gauge. [email protected] [email protected]

Perturbative and non-perturbative studies of the SU(2)-Higgs model on lattices with asymmetric lattice spacings

We present a calculation of the O(g2, λ) perturbative corrections to the coupling anisotropies of the SU(2)-Higgs model on lattices with asymmetric lattice spacings. These corrections are obtained by a one-loop calculation requiring the rotational invariance of the gauge and Higgs boson propagators in the continuum limit. The coupling anisotropies are also determined from numerical simulations ...

Large N corrections to the strong coupling behaviour of SU ( N ) / Z N lattice gauge theories

We derive a formula for the large N behaviour of the expectation values of an arbitrary product of Wilson loops in the adjoint representation. We show the consequences of our formula for the study of the large N strong coupling behaviour of SU(N)/ZN pure gauge theories, and theories with matter fields in the adjoint representation. This allows us to calculate large N corrections to the gluino c...

Adjoint “quarks” on coarse anisotropic lattices: Implications for string breaking in full QCD

A detailed study is made of four dimensional SU(2) gauge theory with static adjoint “quarks” in the context of string breaking. A tadpole-improved action is used to do simulations on lattices with coarse spatial spacings as, allowing the static potential to be probed at large separations at a dramatically reduced computational cost. Highly anisotropic lattices are used, with fine temporal spaci...

Polyakov Loops and Finite-Size Effects of Hadron Masses in Lattice Full QCD

The polarization of Polyakov type loops is responsible for the difference between quenched and unquenched finite size effects on the QCD mass spectrum. With a numerical simulation, using different sea quarks boundary conditions, we show that we can align the spatial Polyakov loops in a predefined direction. Starting from these results, we propose a procedure to partially remove the Polyakov typ...

Improved Pseudofermion Approach for All-Point Propagators

Quark propagators with arbitrary sources and sinks can be obtained more efficiently using a pseudofermion method with a mode-shifted action. Modeshifting solves the problem of critical slowing down (for light quarks) induced by low eigenmodes of the Dirac operator. The method allows the full physical content of every gauge configuration to be extracted, and should be especially helpful for unqu...
